ORLAND -- Dale R. Gordon, 34, died March 9, 1991, at his residence in Orland. He was born in Waterville, Feb. 8, 1956[sic:Aug. 2, 1956], the son of Alavh[sic:Alvah] R. and Lenora (Bakeman) Gordon. Mr. Gordon was employed for 17 years at Maine Maritime Academy, where for 15 years he worked as a chef and for the last two years as coordinator of student affairs. Dale also enjoyed traveling and gardening. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lenora and Edward Brockelbank of Orland; his father and stepmother, Alavh[sic:Alvah] R. and Jeannie Gordon of Belfast; four sisters, Delores Gilley of Orland, Doris Clark of South Portland, Tina Gordon and Mary Armstronge[sic], both of Belfast; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be remembered by many friends. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Castine Cemetery, Castine, with the Rev. Sandra Musella Reed officiating.
