LYMAN L. WILLARD
OXBOW -- Lyman Lester Willard, 84, died Tuesday in a Presque Isle hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Willard was born in Presque Isle November 10, 1878, the son of Charles A. and Amanda (Raven) Willard, and had lived most of his life in Oxbow.
He was a member of Pioneer Lodge of Masons, Ashland, and of Umcolcus Grange, Oxbow. He attended the Congregational church of Oxbow.
He had been a farmer here for many years and in recent years had been a pulp contractor.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maud (Junkins) Willard of Oxbow; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Michalka of Oxbow; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the residence here, the Rev. Manuel Snow, pastor of Masardis Congregational church officiating.
Burial will be in the Willard cemetery next spring.
Arrangements are in charge of the Stimson funeral home of Ashland.
