MASARDIS -- George Emery Drew, 67, died at a Togus hospitalonday after a long illness.
He was born March 19, 1895, at Fort Fairfield, son of Franklin and Martha (McCarthy) Drew.
Mr. Drew was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Ashland American Legion and the I.O.O.F. of Ashland.
Surviving are his widow Mrs. Lila (Howes) Drew, Masardis; a son, Maxwell, of Masardis; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Henderson, Charleston, N.Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Seeley, Ludlow, Vt., Mrs. Luella Blake, Portland, Mrs. Shirley Dunn, Ashland; a brother, Jesse, Fairfield; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the residence in Masardis Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the Masardis Congregational Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Manuel Snow officiating.
Burial will be in the family lot at the Masardis Cemetery.

George married Lila Martha Howes, daughter of Frank William Howes and Eva Martha Willard, on 8 Jul 1920 in Ashland, Aroostook, Maine, United States.
