MAXWELL C. DREW
MASARDIS -- Maxwell C. Drew, 67, died Oct. 6, 1990, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born at Masardis, May 18, 1923, the son of George and Lila (Howes) Drew. He was a 1941 graduate of Ashland High School and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Drew was a member of the VFW LeBlanc-Junkins Post No. 9699 of Ashland and the Maine State Employee's Association. He was employed for the Maine Department of Transportation for over 20 years and as a district supervisor for the last several years until his retirement. He was married to Alice (Clark) Drew on Jan. 19, 1952. In addition to his wife of Masardis, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dwight (Candace) Junkins of Masardis and Mrs. Laurel (Cheryl) Junkins of Derry, N.H.; one sister, Mrs. Ernest (Marjorie) Fenderson of Charlestown, N.H.; four grandchildren, Glenn, Lindsay, Chad and Courtney Junkins. Relatives and friends may call 7-9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 37 Exchange St., Ashland. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Congrega. tional Church, Ashland, with the Rev. Thomas L. Caton, pastor, officiating. Committal services and military honors will follow at Masardis Municipal Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute in his memory to the American Heart Association, Maine Affiliate, P.O. Box 346, Augusta 04330. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
