OXBOW, Feb. 23 -- Mrs. Eva (Willard) Howes, 76, died suddenly at her home Friday evening. She was born in Mapleton September 24, 1881, the daughter of Charles and Amanda (Raven) Willard.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Oxbow Grange.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Howes; three daughters, Mrs. Lila Drew of Masardis, Mrs. Clarice Gulnac of North Bucksport and Mrs. Pearl Howes of Oxbow; a brother, Lyman Willard of Osbok[sic]; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence until time of services.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the residence, with the Rev. Manuel Snow officiating.
Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery, Oxbow, in the spring.

OXBOW, Feb. 26 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Eva (Willard) Howes were held Monday afternoon at the residence, Oxbow, with the Rev. Manuel Snow of Masardis officiating.
The bearers were Rudolph Michalka, Norman Currier, Edgar Anderson and Henderson Earl, all of Oxbow.
Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery, Oxbow, in the spring.
