EASTON (AP) -- Ernest Connors, 19, of Fort Fairfield, was brought to Gould Memorial Hospital in Presque Isle Friday after suffering head injuries in a 15-foot fall at the Maine Sugar Beet construction site.
 Hospital officials declined to say what his condition was.
 Connors, married and the father of an infant boy, was standing on a platform 15 feet from the ground when he fell. He was helping install equipment at the time of the accident.

 Ernest Connors Jr., 19, of Fort Fairfield, died at the Maine Medical Center Friday from injuries received in a fall last week at a sugar beet refinery under construction at Easton.
 Authorities said Connors suffered head injuries when he toppled from a 15-foot-high platform while helping to install equipment at the plant of Maine Sugar Industries, Inc.
 His survivors include his widow, Ruby, and an infant son.

 He attended Fort Fairfield schools and graduated from Lee Academy in Lee in 1965.
 Mr. Connors was born at Caribou Feb. 10, 1947.
 Surviving are his father, Ernest Connors Sr. of Carroll, and his wife, Ruby (Burrill) Connors of Fort Fairfield; a son, Ernest III.
 Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Clay Funeral Home in Lincoln with the Rev. Otto Palmer, pastor of the Lee Baptist Church, officiating.
 Burial will be in the Stevens Cemetery in Carroll.
