WATERVILLE/OAKLAND -- Veda N. Carson, 76, of Waterville and Oakland, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at a Coopers Mills nursing home.
She was born in Limestone, Feb. 9, 1920, the daughter of Charles and Sylvia (Burgess) Carson.
She was a longtime resident of Oakland and had lived in Waterville for the past several years. She attended many of the local Pentecostal churches.
A son, Ernest Conners Jr. of Fort Fairfield, died previously.
Survivors include two grandchildren; four nieces, Joyce Ellingwood of Middleton, N.H., Ethel Duff and Pearline Rowe of Dover-Foxcroft, and Nellie Labbe of Caribou; several grandnieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be announced in the spring by the Wheeler Funeral Home of Oakland.

Veda had a relationship with Ernest Lee Connors Sr. (Ernest Lee Connors Sr. was born on 30 Jan 1901 in Fort Fairfield, Aroostook, Maine, United States, died on 8 Jun 1974 in Togus, Chelsea, Kennebec, Maine, United States and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, Aroostook, Maine, United States.)
