SETH RAVEN
SEARSPORT -- Seth Raven, 42, died Friday, May 7, 1965, at the Veteran's Hospital at Togus where he had been since Wednesday.
He was born at Knox January 26, 1923, the son of William and Pearl (Carmichael) Raven.
He was a graduate of Freedom Academy, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Randall-Collins V. F. W. Post in Belfast.
Besides his parents of Knox, he is survived by his widow Carol (Larrabee) Raven of Searsport; two daughters, Elsie L. and Laurette A. Raven, both of Searsport; seven brothers, Lawrence E. of Knox, Harold A, Daniel O., and William E. all of Thorndike; John H. of Cumberland; Carl E., Somers, Conn., and Merl E. Coventry, Conn.; eight sisters, Mrs. Ethel E. Pattee and Mrs. Edith R. Porter, both of Brooks; Mrs. Ferne A. Thompson, Machias; Mrs. Alfreda A. Avery, Holden; Mrs. Lila A. Bryant of Knox; Mrs. Mabel A. Larrabee, Mrs. Ora A Porter and Miss Minnie B. Raven, all of Thorndike. Several other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the First Congregational Church at Searsport, Monday at 2 p.m. with Robert F. Stevens officiating.
Military committal service will be held at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.

Seth married Carol Molly Larrabee on 12 Jan 1955 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine, United States.
