THORNDIKE - Mabel (Raven) Larrabee, 91, passed away on September 12th. She was the 9th of the 17 children of William and Pearl Raven and a graduate of Freedom Academy. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Chapman Larrabee; sons-in-law Raynold Holmes and John Kenney; thirteen siblings: Lawrence (Bug), Earl, Harold (Mike), Carl, William (Bubby), Dan, Seth, John (Jack), Alfreda Moore, Edith Porter, Ethel Pattee, Lila Bryant and Ferne Thompson.
She is survived by her children Donna Holmes of Union, Nora Kenney of Bucksport and Enna Moody and her husband Reg Cunningham of Thorndike; three siblings, Merle and wife Val Raven of Augusta, Judy Porter and Minnie Raven of Thorndike; in-laws Hurley and wife Kay Larrabee of Thorndike and June Mitchell of Unity. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Matthew and wife Tabatha Holmes of Thorndike, Aaron and wife Melissa Holmes of Knox, Rebekah and husband Brian Wilcox of Charleston, Shannon and husband Matthew Calderwood of Union, Lieutenant Commander Jeffrey Kenney of Maryland, Kirby and husband Bill Carleton of Unity, Kim and husband Richard Bright of Virginia and Korey Murphy of Virginia; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
