BUCKSPORT -- Creighton Morton Knowles, 66, died May 12, 1989, at his residence in Bucksport. He was born in Bangor, Oct 30, 1922, the son of Lyndon and Mattie (Ravin) Knowles. Mr. Knowles was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member and past master of the Archon Lodge No. 75, AF & AM of East Dixmont. He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Curtis) Knowles of Bucksport; two sons, David E Knowles of Ontario, Canada, and George R Knowles of Bucksport; three grandchildren, Liza of Bangor, Devin and Colin, both of Ontario, Canada; one brother, Kenneth Knowles of Winthrop. He was predeceased by a son, Steven W. Knowles, in 1974. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, Bucksport, where funeral services and Masonic services will be held at 1 p.m., with Pastor David A Kuhfal and the officers of the Archon Lodge officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport.
