WILLIAM B. POOLER
GRAFTON, MASS. And WASHBURN -- William B. Pooler, 72, died April 11, 1989, at a Grafton, Mass., health-care facility. He was born at Washburn, May 23, 1916, the son of Joseph and Minnie (Raven) Pooler. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Pooler had been employed as a power plant engineer with the Civil Service Division of the U. S. Air Force at Loring A.F.B., retiring in 1963. He had also been employed as a manager at the Fair and Stuarts Department Stores, both in Massachusetts, for several years. He was a member of the Washburn Lodge No. 193, AF & AM, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Bodies, Vally of Worcester, and the Lodge of Perfection of the Scottish Rite Bodies. Mr. Pooler is survived by his wife, Geraldine V. (Dow) Pooler; one daughter, Bonita L. White, both of Grafton, Mass.; four sons, David W. Pooler of E. Norwalk, Conn., Lawrence G. Pooler of Houston, Texas, Danny E. Pooler of Worcester, Mass., and William B. Pooler Jr. of Grafton, Mass.; three sisters, Josephine Fitzgerald of Paso Robles, Calif., Anne Nickerson and Ruth Duncan, both of Washburn; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Masonic services will be held 6:30 p.m. by officers and members of the Washburn Lodge No. 193, AF & AM. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Washburn, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate in Mr. Pooler's memory to the Washburn Lodge No. 193, AF & AM.
