WASHBURN - Mrs. Minnie Pooler, 83, widow of Joseph E. Pooler died Jan. 25 in a Presque Isle hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Pooler was born in Washburn July 26, 1887, the daughter of the Rev. John and Evelyn (Farley) Raven, and had been a lifelong resident here.
Surviving are three sons, Eugene of Washburn, William of Grafton, Mass., and Bernard of Avon, N.Y.; four daughters, Mrs. Glen (Evelyn) Wilcox, Woodland, Mrs. Leigh (Annie) Nickerson and Mrs. Hanford (Ruth) Duncan, Washburn, Mrs. Chris (Josephine) Vasil, Worcester, Mass.; a brother. William of Thorndike; four sisters, Mrs. Lila Scott, Brewer, Mrs. Mattie Knowles of Brooks, Mrs. Dorothy Moody, Belfast, Mrs. Hazel Woodbury, Lincoln; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle, Wednesday from 7-9 p.m.
Services will he held in the funeral home Thursday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. David Asel, pastor of Washburn Pentecostal Church, and the Rev. Carmine Centineo, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Washburn, officiating.
Burial will take place this spring.
