CARIBOU, April 30 -- Coroner Floyd A. Smith of this town was called to Washburn Wednesday to view the remains of Jasper Pooler, the fourteen year old son of Joseph Pooler, who had been found dead. The body was discovered in a manner which indicated that he might have fallen from the loft in the barn through a scuttle hole directly over the pig stye. The unfortunate boy's remains were discovered by his father Wednesday morning as he was making room for the pigs, twelve in number, in order to give them more space back of the barn. The body had been badly chewed by the hogs, practically all the flesh above the ankles, with a portion of each lung, head been eaten off, including the face, ears, etc. The mental shock to the father upon finding his son in such an awful mutilated conditionust have been terrible.
