WASHBURN -- Annie M. Nickerson, 82, wife of the late N. Leigh Nickerson, died April 21, 1996, at a Fort Fairfield hospital. She was born July 29, 1913, the daughter of Joseph and Minnie Blanche (Ravin) Pooler. She attended Washburn Pentecostal Church. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Norris L. and Barbara Nickerson Jr. of Washburn, Steven J. and Nita Nickerson of Fort Fairfield; a daughter, Glenice and Floyd Huston of Washburn; two sisters, Ruth Duncan of Washburn and Josephine Fitzgerald of Passo Robles, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Eugene, Orman, William and Bernard; and a sister Evelyn Wilcox. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Extension Cemetery later in May.
