PRESQUE ISLE and OXBOW -- Madeline F. Earle, 90, died Oct. 14, 2003, at a Presque Isle nursing home after a long illness. She was born in Dixmont, July 28, 1913, the daughter of William R. and Hattie E. (Carson) Whipple.
She worked as a gatekeeper for the Seven Islands Land Co. for 20 years.
Madeline is survived by one son, Robert Earle of Mapleton; one sister, Myrtle Sperry of Washburn; two grandchildren, Ryan Thibodeau and Renee Boucher; one great granddaughter, Megan Boucher; and by a special friend, Jean Rhinebolt of Bath. She was predeceased by her husband, Henderson Earle in 1975.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Willard Cemetery in Oxbow at 1 p.m. Thursday. Those who wish may contribute in her memory to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are a service of Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland.
