Marie M. Russell, 73, of Belfast, died Jan. 2, 1992, at a Belfast hospital.
She was born in Belfast, May 4, 1918, the daughter of Walter C. and Bernice (Merry) Gordon.
She had been an avid craftmaker, especially quilts and dolls, and was a Union Fair Blue Ribbon winner.
She is surived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Keith Conrad of Rapid City, S.D.; two brothers, Walter Gordon of Belfast and Alton and his wife, Katherine Gordon, of Burnham; two sisters, Carlene Evans of Belfast and Norma and her husband, Garfield Duplisea, of Burnham; three grandchildren, twins Dean and Darrell Conrad, and Shawn Conrad; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Cornerstone Church, Upper High Street, Belfast, with Pastor August Mende officiating.
Spring interment will be in the Grove cemetery, Belfast.

SKOWHEGAN -- Fred Corson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Corson of Skowhegan, and Miss Marie Gordon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gordon of Belfast, were married Friday evening at Bethany Baptist parsonage with Rev. George Merriam performing the single ring ceremony. They were accompanied by Donald Trask and Loredo F. Labree of Cornville.
Corson is a shoe worker and the couple will make their home in Skowhegan.
